Program Overview
This webinar will provide an overview of mental health and common mental health concerns in youth and adolescents and best practices for school nurses to assess for and address these concerns.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:

  • Strategies and skills to promote positive and supportive interactions for student mental health issues;
  • Identify tools and resources for identification and assessment of mental health concerns; 
  • Mental health intervention best practices for delivery by school nurses.

Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
