Bio

Initial background areas of inpatient experience in Pediatrics and Adolescent / Adult psychiatric settings and twenty-four years fulltime experience providing full range and scope of school nurse practice as stand-alone school nurse, health administrator and health educator in NYC private independent schools pre K - 12. Established school nurse programs as first school nurse, develop and implement policy and procedures, including written Health Manual for Health Office Policy and Procedures, Crisis Manual and provision of staff training. Coordination between divisions, administration, staff, athletics, ATC, parents, medical providers and Health Office. Provision of OSHA, CPR/AED/ First Aid, epinephrine and special health concern training to staff, faculty and athletics. Work with Parent Associations to implement and support programs related to student safety and health and arrange speakers for PA events.  Faculty Moderator for multiple student events and activities including prom, school dances, blood drives, foreign exchange program, community service programs.
Consultant services provided to schools, with, and without RN, on school health issues, NYS mandated training and written protocols, AED/CPR/ First Aid training, Crisis Planning, OSHA plans.
