Don’t just sit there, do something!

Please join me in the closing session, Taking Your Seat at the Table: Be Brave, Be Dynamic, Make it Count!, to learn how to help make your voice count as you continue to advocate for our students. I will be sharing my personal journey as a life-long learner and leader and how I had to reimagine what is possible in order to better lead my team, my students and my community.

Many of our communities have been fighting against inequities that existed long before COVID-19. Now that COVID-19 has exacerbated those inequities, it is extremely critical to take drastic steps to advocate for our youth and their communities. The shelter in place and COVID-19 are certainly adding another layer of stress, complexity and uncertainty in our communities. How can we heal holistically during and after COVID-19? How can we advocate for the communities that are being hit the hardest?

I am excited to see how the learning during this conference as well as the learning during this pandemic can reshape our thinking of what is possible. Join me as we venture in paving a new path to healing. I want to share some strategies that will help us incorporate new learnings, not become complacent, and now, more than ever, fight for our students and communities.

During our session together, I want to focus on tools for advocacy and to ensure you leverage your learnings and the new networks you are building here to create real change within your schools. Join me in making a promise to ourselves, our students and our communities to win for holistic student health.
