Bio

Elizabeth Paquette R.N. N.C.S.N

A graduate of Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and Fitchburg State University,
I have enjoyed being a nurse for 43 years. A school nurse for the past 25 years; I have been a Nationally Certified School Nurse since 1998 A member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), I am the current Past  Chair for the Private and Parochial School Nurses- a special interest group of NASN.

I have been Graced by the Malden Catholic High School Community since 2001. Previous to arriving at MC, I was a school nurse for a local public school system for 5 years. I have been a Nationally Board Certified School Nurse since 1998. Malden Catholic High School is a 600 all male, Catholic high school that remains rooted in the spiritual values of the Xaverian Brothers-simplicity, humility, trust, compassion, zeal.

Married to Rick Paquette for 40 years, I am the mother of 3 wonderful children James age 36, Eileen age 34 and Tim age 30. I lost my son Tim at age 32 to ALS. I will spend my life fighting for funding of ALS.  I am also a grandmother of a 5 beautiful babies.  I am most proud that while my children are very successful in their careers, they are amazing people who never hesitate to share their gifts in order to help others.

Born and raised in Charlestown Ma, home to the Bunker Hill Monument and Old Ironsides, I still feel my heart beat just a little faster when I find myself in the midst of Boston’s historical sites.

As I write these notes, I am sad to see my seniors graduate but that is the miracle of school nursing-just as I let my seniors go, God in His Grace, sends me a whole new crop to love and enjoy this September. What could be better than that?
