School Health is Hosting an 80’s Dance Party at NASN2016 – 5 Things You Need to Know

We at School Health, get pretty excited about the 80s and we really get excited about dancing! So nothing makes us wig out more than hosting an 80s dance party at NASN2106! Plus, it will be FREE for all NASN2016 attendees!

We’ll be rockin' at this totally awesome party Wednesday, June 29, from 7 – 11 p.m. To make sure you have everything you need to know, here are five handy details about your opening night fun!

16 Sixteen Candles Dance Party - June 29th 7PM - 11PM Fun! Awesome!

  1. An 80s Dance Party you say? That’s right! We’ve booked the band Sixteen Candles with lead singer Adam LeBlanc.  Rumor has it that School Health’s very own Susan Rogers will perform some songs with the band! [see photo insert below]
  2. The best place to meet and greet. An opening night dance party is the best place to greet old friends and meet new ones. Did you know that 20 percent of NASN2016 attendees are first-timers? If you’re part of this 20 percent, then you NEED to come meet some new NASN friends.
  3. Costumes, costumes, costumes! Like any fun-loving organization, we love the chance to reach deep into our closet and pull out our favorite 80s clothes. And we know you do too! We’ll have prizes for best outfits, best hair, and – wait for it – best dance moves!
  4. Fun can be healthy. Kick off your conference and get ready to nurture your professional growth.  Part of advancing student health is leading by example.  Dancing burns some serious calories!
  5. If you pass out from dancing too hard, there will be plenty of nurses in the room. We may never have a better opportunity to let our hair down in a room filled with CPR trained and AED certified health professionals! So let’s party hardy!
