Members Receive Free Online CNE to Advance School Nursing Practice

TodaysSchoolNurseGrounded in the skills and competencies required in NASN’s Framework for 21st Century School Nursing PracticeTM, the NASN Learning Center offers members education, resources and tools they need to provide evidence-based, quality care to help their students be healthy, safe and ready to learn.

As a member benefit, most of NASN's online CNE activities are available free of charge to NASN members. Activities are typically one hour or less. NASN does offer several longer activities that are free of change or at a discounted rate. All-in-all, there are over 50 hours of free CNE available to members on the NASN Learning Center; representing $1,000 in savings. Additional hours are available at a significant discount to members.

In the coming year, members can expect discounted access to the new online School Emergency Triage Training (SETT) program to be released in early November, and additional online CNE offerings; including one on motivational interviewing added throughout the year.

In October, NASN will launch a series of six webinars as well. Each is free of charge to members and will be recorded, then available online following the live airing. The majority of these webinars will qualify for CNE. On the schedule is:

In addition to these programs, NASN members receive print and online subscriptions to two bimonthly, peer-reviewed journalsThe Journal of School Nursing (JOSN) and the NASN School Nurse, access to toolkits, evidence-based clinical guidelines, and significant discounts on conferences and events.
